Innovation in Nursing

These new master’s programmes reinforce the Católica Nursing Schools’ tradition of innovation. The research conducted in these courses is integrated into the "Nursing Research Platform" of the Center for Interdisciplinary Research in Health (CIIS), and university outreach is embodied in socially impactful projects based at the Católica Nursing Centre (CEC).

Nursing education is underpinned by research conducted “in and with” the Community (community-based participatory research), particularly with vulnerable populations, resulting in community service that supports learning (service-based learning).

The new master's programmes reaffirm Universidade Católica Portuguesa's commitment to training highly qualified nursing professionals who are prepared to work in complex contexts and actively contribute to improving healthcare in Portugal.
